MTA Media Release - Motor Traders' Association Returns to Wagga Wagga




The Motor Traders’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW) proudly supports businesses at a State and National level and understands the importance of interacting with our members in regional areas. As such, businesses within the local automotive industry were invited to attend a very successful information night at the Rules Club in Wagga Wagga on Wednesday 19th April. 

The beautiful city of Wagga Wagga was a true reflection of the business operator’s in the region. “It was a real pleasure to visit some of the local business’ and to speak with them one-on-one and to interact during the annual member information evening”, said MTA NSW CEO, Stavros Yallouridis.

Presentations were delivered from MTA NSW Senior Managers – Brenton Daniel, Graham Judge and Matthew Webster. The information night was designed to provide both members and their staff with opportunities to stay ahead of legislative changes affecting the automotive industry, including training opportunities. 

Attendees were enlightened on key industry topics such as:- Training; Revised Code of Conduct; Uncollected Goods Act; Workplace Health and Safety; Motor Dealer’s and Repairer’s Regulation Update; AIS Business Rules; NSW Fair Trading Compliance and other key industry issues.
Local automotive business owner and former Deputy Mayor of Wagga Wagga, Lindsay Vidler, was in attendance to show his support of businesses working within the industry which employ local staff. 

As an Executive Board Director of MTA NSW, Lindsay understands the importance of keeping up-to-date with industry changes and the fundamental benefits of being a member of the MTA NSW.

Also in attendance were MTA NSW Senior Management, Stavros Yallouridis, CEO, and Colin Long, General Manager – Operations who travelled from Sydney to attend the evening and to visit members in Wagga Wagga and the Goulburn region over a two day period. 

The information night provided an excellent opportunity for experts of the industry from MTA NSW to be on hand to respond to members’ questions and to actively support local members in their business endeavours.
