HR Fundamentals Series Webinar - Parental Leave and Related Entitlements

Did you know that there are different rules for taking unpaid parental leave depending on if one employee takes the leave or if both members of an employee couple take leave? 

Unpaid parental leave under the National Employment Standards provides a wide and complex range of entitlements, including:
•    Birth-related and adoption-related leave;
•    Premature birth, stillbirth, or infant death;
•    Unpaid special maternity leave;
•    Rights to transfer to a safe job and no safe job leave;
•    Return to work guarantee;
•    Replacement employees; and
•    Unpaid pre-adoption leave.

MTA NSW wishes to invite you to our virtual HR Fundamentals Series, presented by Rita Milan, Senior Employment Relations Advisor, from our MTA NSW Employment Relations team to discuss all your questions surrounding the topic of: Parental leave and related entitlements.

The HR Fundamental Series will look at the National Employment Standards, which is a safety net of minimum employee entitlements for all national system employees.

This 45-minute course will provide an outline of the above provisions and equip Members with valuable knowledge on unpaid parental leave entitlements.
