MTA NSW Raises Funds for Youth Off The Streets

(L to R): Stavros Yallouridis, CEO, MTA NSW and Father Chris Riley, CEO & Founder, Youth Off The Streets

Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets was this week presented with a cheque for $11,341, which were the proceeds generously raised from Members and guests who attended the charity fund raising auction as part of the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW 2018 Recognition Dinner held on 1 December 2018.

“On behalf of our Executive Board and Members, the Association would like to thank all those who attended the Recognition Dinner and participated in the fund raising auction on the night in order to provide support to youth in need,” said MTA NSW CEO, Stavros Yallouridis.

“We will continue to support Youth Off The Streets throughout this year and work with them on developing practical training pathways, that can support both youth and our Members.” Yallouridis said.

Both silent and live auctions were conducted to raise the funds and one of the highlights on the night was the auction of the MTA NSW motorbike – Honda CD250U. The motorbike was restored as part of a 6 month project working with Year 11 and 12 school based automotive students from Trades Norwest Anglican Senior College.

Other items which were auctioned included a VIP 5 Star Australian Open experience, private luxury cruise, weekends away, overseas trips, sporting memorabilia and artwork.

MTA NSW looks forward to collaborating with Youth Off The Streets during 2019.
