Mandatory Border Entry Permit for ‘Cross-Border’ Communities

This update follows a previous communication sent to Members on Tuesday 7 July 2020, regarding the ‘Closure of the New South Wales/ Victorian border.’ If your customer(s) requires their vehicle(s) to be repaired or serviced, and you operate your business from a ‘cross-border community’ – e.g. Albury-Wodonga, Echuca-Moama, Swan Hill, Mildura and towns along the Murray River, a Border Entry Permit MUST be obtained for travel. MTA NSW welcomes extension of the enhanced instant asset write off stimulus initiative

The Motor Traders’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW), today welcomed in conjunction with the Motor Trades Association of Australia (MTAA) and with support by Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, Jobs Minister Michaelia Cash, and Industry Minister Karen Andrews that the Federal Government’s Enhanced Instant Asset Write Off (IAWO) stimulus initiative will be extended to 31 December 2020.
