MTA NSW would like to welcome our latest Business Partner – Hi-Tec Oils. Hi-Tec Oils is an Australian owned company with more than 200 years of total workforce experience in lubricants. They are one of Australia’s largest independent oil manufacturer’s, with warehouses in every state and territory of Australia managed by Hi-Tec Oils staff.

You are invited to attend a Member Information Night conducted by MTA NSW being held on Wednesday, 19 February. All Members and their staff are encouraged to attend and receive valuable industry information. This free event will be held at Rydges Port Macquarie, with light finger food and refreshments provided.

It was in 1909 when a group of Motor Dealers and their Managers met to discuss the future of the motor industry and what they could do to protect and grow this fledging new industry. It had been barely 10 years since the very first petrol motor car, a De Dion Bouton le Voiturette, had been brought into Australia by the Austral Cycle and Motor Agency, Sydney.

MTA has entered into the Christmas spirit this week with a $50,000 donation that will be shared among three organisations, Rural Aid, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) and the Australian Lions Foundation.

Please be advised that from 1 December, mobile phone detection cameras across NSW were switched on and include both fixed and transportable trailer-mounted cameras. Using high-definition cameras to capture images of the front-row cabin space of all vehicles to detect illegal mobile phone use, the detection system operates both day and night and in all weather conditions.
